Urgent Care
Trauma and Common Injuries: We treat non-life-threatening fractures and trauma. Fractures are diagnosed with X-rays, set for proper healing, and often immobilized with a cast or splint. Pain medication may be prescribed. We also handle sprains, strains, sports injuries, dehydration, bee stings, poison ivy reactions, animal bites, and more. Follow-up care is provided for ongoing management. Laceration Repair: Lacerations are cleaned, anesthetized, and repaired with sutures. A light dressing or antibiotic ointment is applied. Watch for signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or fever, and contact your doctor if any occur.

Together, our office will help you develop personalized management plans for conditions including hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, skin disease, liver and kidney disease, allergies and sinus problems, lung disease, headaches, arthritis, and more.
Dermatology/Minor Surgeries
Mole Removal Moles vary in shape, size, and color and can be benign or cancerous. If a mole changes in size, color, or becomes painful, it should be checked by a doctor. Removal involves numbing the area, excising the mole, and possibly stitching it up. The mole may be sent for lab tests. Sebaceous Cyst Removal Sebaceous cysts are mobile sacs filled with a cheesy substance, often found on the face, neck, and trunk. They usually resolve on their own but may need removal if inflamed or large. Small cysts can be treated with steroids or antibiotics. Lipoma Removal Lipomas are benign fatty tumors, often found on the head, neck, shoulders, and back. They are usually soft and painless. If a lipoma is large or painful, it may be treated with steroid injections or surgical removal. Wart Removal Warts, caused by HPV, are common and can appear on various body parts. Treatment typically involves freezing with liquid nitrogen, which may require multiple sessions. Other methods will be considered if necessary. Ganglion Cyst Treatment Ganglion cysts, typically found on joints or tendons, are filled with a jelly-like substance. They may cause pain or weakness. Treatment options include needle aspiration and steroid injection, or surgical removal if the cyst is problematic. Abscess Drainage Abscesses are pus-filled infections that often need surgical drainage if antibiotics are ineffective. The procedure involves cutting the abscess, draining pus, and cleaning the area. Healing is generally quick. Joint Aspiration and Injection Joint aspiration involves using a needle to remove fluid from a joint for analysis and to relieve swelling. Sometimes, cortisone is injected to reduce inflammation and pain.
Immunizations
Disease prevention is the key to public health. It is always better to prevent a disease than to treat it. Vaccines, or immunizations, help prevent infectious diseases, save lives, and are responsible for the control of many infectious diseases that were once common in this country. Among these diseases are polio, measles, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), rubella (German measles), mumps, and tetanus. We offer immunizations for adults and children older than 4 years of age. Your immune system helps your body fight germs by producing substances (called antibodies) to combat them. Once it does, the immune system "remembers" the germ and can fight it again. Vaccines contain germs that have been killed or weakened. When given to a healthy person, the vaccine triggers the immune system to respond and thus build immunity. Before vaccines, people became immune only by actually getting a disease and surviving it. Vaccines are an easier and less risky way to become immune.
Diagnostic and Lab
An EKG records the heart's electrical activity to check for normal rhythm and detect issues like slow or irregular beats. It's a painless test with no risks. Ultrasound Ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of organs in the abdomen and pelvis. It’s safe and non-invasive, used to diagnose issues like kidney stones, tumors, and pelvic conditions. It also assesses the thyroid gland's health. Bone Density Test This test measures bone strength and osteoporosis risk using X-rays. Recommended for women 65+, postmenopausal women with risk factors, men 70+, and men 50-70 with risk factors. It's quick, painless, and helps predict fracture risk. Tuberculin Test The tuberculin test checks for exposure to TB by injecting antigens under the skin. A reaction, like a red bump, indicates TB exposure or a past TB vaccination. Laboratory Testing Lab tests analyze blood, urine, or other samples to diagnose conditions and monitor health. Routine tests include blood counts, liver and kidney function, cholesterol levels, glucose, and more. These tests help diagnose and manage various health issues.
